Our Story
Orchid & Company was founded in St. Louis by newlyweds Alaynne and Gardiner who saw a need for sophisticated paper products that were both fashionable and contemporary.
The concept behind Orchid & Company began during the wedding planning process. Alaynne and Gardiner had extensive prior experience in the web and graphic design fields. A dissatisfaction during the planning process with the available wedding products led the couple into designing and creating all the programs, invitations, and announcements for the wedding.
The exceptional look of the event led to the wedding being featured in the 2008 Spring/Summer issue of the Missouri and Kansas edition of the Knot Magazine. After enthusiastic feedback from family and friends and an increasing demand for creative services they had no choice but to go into business.
What we do differently
Our modern concepts are one of the first things you notice about Orchid & Company products. Fresh simplicity, vibrant colors and chic designs are the foundation of our style. The fine and luxurious paper our cards are printed on is a change from the humdrum everyday glossy photo paper.
